Through its partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) — UPF launched the American International Institute on July 9, 2025, setting a bold new standard for higher education in Morocco, Africa, and beyond.
Through this transformative collaboration, The American International Institute students will gain access to world-class ASU curricula, faculty development, digital resources, and dual degree pathways, in Morocco and the US. UPF’s strategic vision is to become the most international university in Morocco and a hub for high-quality, globally connected education in Africa.

In addition to Moroccan degrees recognized by the State, our students will earn American bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Founded in 2006, as the Polytechnic School – Technologia, UPF obtained the status of an accredited university in 2013. UPF has grown to include three campuses: Fez main campus, Fez downtown, and Rabat, offering 48 programs.
UPF is nationally recognized for its advanced interdisciplinary research contributions on topics such as renewable energy, AI, embedded systems, medical innovation, and architectural and urban planning.
UPF is the first and only university in Morocco to offer the Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree with a totally digital approach. UPF is also the only university in Morocco with a Center of Excellence on Batteries, launched in 2022, and the only Moroccan university to obtain an EDGE-Green Buildings Certification.
