Mahanakorn University of Technology (MUT) is a private university located in the Nong Chok District of Bangkok, Thailand. Founded in 1990, it was established to address the country’s shortage of skilled engineers and technologists. MUT is dedicated to producing graduates equipped with cutting-edge technical knowledge and practical skills to solve real-world challenges. Today, the university serves a diverse student body of over 5,000 students across undergraduate and graduate programs.
MUT has achieved several notable milestones, including the launch of Thailand’s first low-orbit microsatellite and the establishment of the MUT–Imperial Semiconductor AI & Biosensor Electronics Research Lab (SABER Lab) in collaboration with Imperial College London. The university has also developed a range of innovative technologies such as mine detectors, EOD robots, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), drones, and low Earth orbit (LEO) communication satellites. Its dedication to academic excellence and research innovation has earned it a high rating as a Research University by the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA).
MUT is a national leader in the semiconductor sector, hosting the MUT National Semiconductor Center, supported by Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). The center focuses on advancing high-quality semiconductor technologies and training skilled professionals to meet industry needs. In addition, MUT has strong capabilities in biosensor development and research, collaborating closely with international universities to drive progress in emerging fields.
At Mahanakorn University of Technology, we are not just educating engineers — we are shaping the innovators and problem-solvers who will build Thailand’s future. Our commitment is to ensure that every student leaves here ready to lead, create, and elevate our nation on the global stage.
