Rafael Sia is Chief Financial Officer at Cintana, where he leads the company’s financial strategy, capital allocation, and long-term value creation. He plays a central role in shaping Cintana’s global growth, working closely with partners to expand access to high-quality education and drive sustainable impact.

Prior to becoming CFO, Rafael led Cintana’s strategy and business development efforts in Latin America, where he built and scaled strategic partnerships across the region. His work helped establish a strong foundation for Cintana’s international expansion.

Before joining Cintana, Rafael was Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for Latin America at Mastercard, where he led regional strategy and executed key growth and M&A initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Laureate Education, where he was instrumental in building one of the largest higher education networks in Latin America, spanning multiple countries and representing a significant share of the company’s global operations.

Rafael began his career at Unilever and later worked at Votorantim Group, gaining experience across finance, operations, and corporate development.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Campinas in Brazil.
