On June 2nd, professor Victor Peskin from the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University (ASU) visited Universum International College (UNI) and held a panel discussion on campus. The event brought together a distinguished panel composed of Dr. Mietek Boduszynsk, Associate Professor at Pomona College, Dr. Stephen Keck, Dean at UNI – School of Global Studies and Societies, Artan Qerkini, Researcher and Defence Attorney, and Dr. Valon Murati, Vice President for External Relations and Outreach at UNI, who engaged in a dynamic conversation. The discussion focused on pressing topics in the fields of international relations, international justice, and transitional justice.
The event drew a diverse audience, including UNI undergraduate students in political science and law, master's students from the Governance and National Security program, as well as academics, researchers, and representatives from NGOs and public institutions. The discussion was met with great interest and engagement, highlighting the relevance of these global issues in the local academic and policy context.
This visit was particularly meaningful for UNI as it enriched the academic environment and offered students the opportunity to critically engage with current global challenges. Moreover, it reinforced the growing collaboration between UNI and ASU, paving the way for deeper academic and institutional ties.
UNI offers a dual degree program in partnership with ASU, enabling students enrolled in the Master’s in Governance and National Security at UNI to earn a second degree (1+1) —Master of Arts in International Affairs and Leadership from Arizona State University.
