Across the Pond, Ahead of the Curve: Introducing ASU London

Arizona State University and Cintana Education have entered an extraordinary new chapter in global higher education with the launch of ASU London, a pioneering, UK-accredited institution designed to expand access to high-quality, future-focused learning around the world. Announced publicly in November, ASU London represents one of the most significant milestones in the history of the ASU–Cintana partnership, and an exciting new opportunity for students and universities across our alliance.

A New Kind of Global Higher Education Experience

ASU London brings ASU’s globally recognized academic excellence and innovation to the UK through an independent institution created in close collaboration with Cintana. Built upon the success of TEDI-London, the engineering and design institute co-founded by ASU in 2020, ASU London integrates TEDI-London’s project-based engineering programs while introducing new degree offerings in computer science, business management, and electrical and electronic engineering.

What makes ASU London truly distinctive is its built-in, accelerated pathways that allow students to complete a UK bachelor’s degree and progress directly into select one-year master’s degrees at Arizona State University. In as little as four years, students can graduate with two international degrees – a UK bachelor’s and a U.S. master’s – saving time, reducing costs, and gaining a powerful edge in the global job market.

“ASU London helps students become master problem solvers who can succeed in the evolving global economy,” said ASU President Michael M. Crow in the announcement of ASU London. “We have designed ASU London to provide students with a compelling new way to gain both an international experience and prepare for their careers, in the UK and the U.S.”

ASU London delivers an immersive, industry-aligned curriculum shaped by faculty and experts from both the U.S. and the UK. Students apply their learning through hands-on projects, tackle real-world challenges, and gain access to ASU’s extraordinary resources, including advanced technology, AI tools, and a global network of more than one million alumni.

Beginning in autumn 2026, ASU London will move to its dedicated home on the Clerkenwell campus of City St George’s, University of London, placing students at the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic educational communities.

ASU and Cintana Collaborating From Concept to Launch and Beyond

ASU London is more than a new higher education institution, it is a demonstration of what is possible when ASU’s academic excellence is paired with Cintana’s expertise in designing and operating innovative higher-education models across the world.

As Doug Becker shared upon announcing the launch of ASU London:

“ASU London was conceived, developed, and launched in close partnership with Cintana, and we remain ASU’s ongoing partner in the venture. Together, we have created a powerful new model that demonstrates what is possible when global partners combine ASU’s academic excellence with Cintana’s expertise.”

Cintana played a critical role in shaping the institution’s design, student pathways, operational strategy, and long-term academic model, ensuring it reflects both ASU’s values and the needs of today’s globally mobile learners.

A Global Experience Built for Today’s Students

  • ASU London offers a uniquely flexible and international student journey:

  • A UK-accredited bachelor’s degree informed by industry and hands-on learning

  • Integrated accelerated master’s pathways to select ASU programs with guaranteed entry for eligible graduates

Opportunities for U.S. students to study in London, one of the top cities in the world for international students

  • Access to two of the world’s leading academic ecosystems, opening doors to global careers and networks

  • Students learn as “professionals in training,” gaining technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills that employers actively seek across global markets.

What ASU London Means for the ASU-Cintana Alliance

The launch of ASU London is not just a new initiative, it's a new strategic advantage for the entire ASU-Cintana Alliance.

1. New Mobility Pathways for Partner Students

Partners will be able to explore future opportunities for students to access ASU London programs or engage in short-term academic experiences.

2. Faculty Collaboration Across Borders

ASU London is designed to be an international hub, opening the door to co-teaching, research partnerships, guest lectures, and new forms of academic exchange.

3. Increased Visibility and Credibility for the Alliance

A high-profile, globally recognized university created by ASU and Cintana reinforces the strength of the alliance—and raises the profile of every partner institution connected to it.

4. A Scalable Model for Innovation

ASU London shows the world what is possible when education models are reimagined through global collaboration. It serves as a proving ground for approaches that can be adapted and shared across our entire network.

“Our partnership with ASU is stronger than ever,” said Becker. “And ASU London exemplifies the kind of innovation and cross-border opportunity we are committed to building as a global alliance.”

What’s Next

Cintana and ASU will continue to advance the development and integration of ASU London, including opportunities for partner involvement in the months ahead. Additional news and updates will be shared across the alliance as the institution prepares for its move to the Clerkenwell campus and welcomes its first cohorts.

Partners are encouraged to explore the ASU London website, follow its social media launch, and begin conversations with their Cintana liaisons about potential collaborations.

ASU London stands as a bold expression of what our alliance was built to do: expand access, elevate quality, and open life-changing opportunities to students around the world.

This is just the beginning, and the ASU-Cintana  global network is uniquely positioned to benefit from and contribute to this next chapter
