Founded in 1996, Istanbul Bilgi University (BİLGİ) is one of the first Foundation universities of Turkey. It offers associate, bachelor, master, and doctoral Degrees to more than 20,000 active students and has over 50,000 alumni. It is a comprehensive university with more than 150 programs across various disciplines. BİLGİ is the first and only institution in the region that has been accredited by WSCUC upon successfully completing the U.S./WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) accreditation process. It is rated 4 stars by QS and has appeared seven years in a row in the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Ranking. BİLGİ is a reference point for internationality in Turkey, with over 550 international academic agreements and international students from 100 different countries comprising 10% of the total student body. Its three campuses are located in the heart of Istanbul.
