Siyan Li has focused most of his career in strategic market development, helping organizations grow their presence, market share and influence through targeted organic growth and acquisitions, especially in the Asia Pacific region. From market entry strategy to day-to-day operational leadership, Siyan has supported many organizations to build brand, achieve scale and retain winning teams.
Most recently Siyan was Chief Executive Officer of an education network in China that operated K-12 and higher education institutions. During his tenure, Siyan grew average revenue per student by 2x, achieved historical new graduate outcome records, and led 1.2 billion RMB of M&A transactions.
Siyan previously served as VP China Operations for Laureate International Universities, where he oversaw Laureate China platform universities, M&A, partnerships, and a China recruiting hub supporting global network universities.
Prior to his tenure at Laureate, Siyan worked at Swagelok Company, Young & Rubicam Brands, Apple and McCann Erickson, where his client portfolio included Microsoft, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, Singapore Tourism Board, Intel, and Accenture.
Siyan has a Bachelor of Computer Science with Honors from the University of Waterloo and an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago.
